Felax walked into the Plaza of the Tower, from Hanger Bay even more unhappy then he was earlier this morning. After talking to Shade, he went into the Hanger Bay of the Tower to talk to the mechanic, mechanical robots, and the blonde girl whose name Felax keeps forgetting about this spaceship Warpdrive that has been making some funny sounds (not in a good way) since he went into light speed after leaving Mars. Now walking up to his Ghost Arc whose still browsing at the Eververse store, looking at the ghost shell they have in stock.
The Tower is the place where mostly where all the Guardians live and hang out. It where all the missions, Vanguard operations, bounty, ship and sparrows (there like hoverbikes) repairs, Crucible matches (It’s like a comparative match game where guardians fight and shoot each other until the last team or person has enough or most points at the match) and were all the vanguard archives is stored. It is a place where all the information that other guardians have found knowledge in the solar system, like the history of the golden age and even before that, alien threats intel and other stuff, as well as Felax Mistakes, Lawbreaking, and all the above.
“Bloody hell, of course, she would be here” Felax muttered to himself as he walks over to Arc, looking tired already. “Hey Arc!”
“Hmmm? Oh, Felax your back!” Said Arc as she turns around, saws Felax coming towards her for one second and looked back at the Ghost shell that are on sale. “…..and hey, there this new cool shell on sale, and I thought you would-…”
“You’re not getting anything.”
“Sorry, but this is a limited-…. wha-hey! What are you-…”
Felax graded Arc tightly in his hand and stormed off, away from Eververse, before she could buy anything that is a waste of glimmer to him.

“Hey-HEY! What the hell is wrong with you today?!” Said Arc after Felax threw her across the corridor, and Arc hovered just in the last second before she hit a wall.
“My Problem! Seriously Mate!” Shouted Felax straight at Arc, who is very mad at her. “You left me to deal with the interrogation room with the bloody leaders of the Vanguard for the mess we weren’t even responsible for! Again!”
“I had to, there was this limited cool-looking ghost shell that I wanted and-…..”
“Shut up! This is the thirteen-time in the quarter of this year you had ditched me when we get into trouble, and I always end up being the one taking all the blame for it. And! That does not include the other missions we have been onto and the other things you ditch me for.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry, it’s not like ghosts like us, have important places to go-…”
“No! you Bloody Didn’t! You were going to take our payment from our last job and spend it on ugly ghost shells for the dumb collect of yours that you don’t even used anyway.”
“Well, it didn’t mean I can has it-…..”
“Shut up, ARC!” Yelled Felax at Arc with a hateful tone of voice and pissed off her. “I just had it up to here with you, screwing me over time and time again! When it’s supposed to be your job to watch my back.”
“What are you talking about I’m watching your back. I’m doing that job right now.”
“That’s not….” Felax sigh and face pump his face in distress. “Screw me dead…..Why, out of all the ghosts I could of had, how did I end up with you?”
“Because it’s what it is! Once a Ghost chooses its Guardian, it is for life until both of us or I end up dead!” Said Arc floating a bit upwards, looking down at Felax.
“Just stop, I’m so tired of you going off while I clean up your messes and getting blamed for all of it. Like when you gave the wrong direction in the Egypt desserts for days to find a lost city, the time you sold my pulse rifle behind my back that had so many good mobs on it for ripped off ghost’s shell that lasted only a month and…. Oh and let’s not forget about earlier this morning when you messed up one job and almost got us killed because you lied to me that you know how to get into the Cabel system without a problem!”
“Hey, I said I was sorry about all those things. Also, that pulse rifle of yours was broken anyway after you got yourself into a bar fight on the reef.”
“I was going to fix’s it once I-…… you know what, we’ll talk about this later. Because right now the Vanguard has both of us on a bloody leach! Again!”
“Hrrrr…. Let me guess. Make us do a few boring chores around the city again?” Said Arc not taking what Felax has to say seriously, and tried to come him down.
“No twinkle-bot!…. they plan on kicking us out just like Osiris?”
Arc was in shock after hearing what Felax just said. “Kicked out! You mean vanished, as in never returning to the city again!”
“That right Drongo!” Felax leaned back against a wall and crossed his arms, watching Arc muttering to herself, going crazy, like his entire life is coming to an end for a bit.
“They can’t send us out! I got many shells in my collection. How am I going to get the right cleaning product if I leave? They all get spoiled in a few days, not just that how am I going to expand this to my other Ghosts bubbles?! They are going to think of me as some homeless now and they will never let me be in their club ever again!”
“Now you see how mentally screwed we are?! Also, mansion your bloody collection again; you’ll be my next cricket ball!”
“We gotta fix this Felax. How do we fix this Felax?”
“Well, there’s only one way we’re getting out of this mess. And that’s to earn the Vanguard’s respect by assembling our own Fireteam by Guardian Day.”
Arc looks at him in silence for a long five seconds before she spoke again. “I get start packing right away.”
“What The hell! you just said you wanted to fix this problem.”
“That was before we had to make a fireteam to save our poor lives and no offence, but you’re trash at making friends.”
“Oh, screw you!”
“What it’s true. I sense you try making friends over the years and keep messing it up. Like when you tried making friends at a pub drinking and ended up shirtless in the middle of the street and almost lost all your glimmer.”
“Arc?”
“The time you had a girlfriend, whose been nice to you and when you decided to take her out of the city, to a nice place in the woods. You got yourself off guard by thinking about her so much, she tried to steal your sparrow before ending up crashing it into a tree and die on impact.”
“Arc?!”
“And that time where you could have been in one of the higher-up teams by completing a Strike task for Ikora, but instead you-….”
“Shut up, all right!!” Shouted Felax, having enough of her bumbling about pasted mistakes. “I already bloody know all that trash, dammit! You didn’t have to repeat to me how much of a failure I am and at least I was trying my best to make mates. And I told you never to mention that strike mission ever again. What happened that day, I didn’t have a choice of the matter, and please just let it go will’a?”
“Yeah, but-….”
“LET IT GO!” said Felax in a deeper voice than before.
“Yes, Guardian. Sorry to upset up.” Sigh Arc looked to the side from Felax for a second before responding back to him with something that might make him feel better. “Anyway, we should get going to The Sweet Light Travelers bar if you’re going to catch up with your mentor.”
“Wait!? That’s today?”
“Yes, but don’t worry, you still have at least ninety minutes left.”
“Oh cool, hold on a second why so early?”
“Well, come to think about it, how many times you became late for your plans? Dummy.”
“Why you….. hrrrr fair point, mate. But I still need to stop by around my places to see if my packages have arrived yet.” Said Felax as he started walking home with his Ghost hovering beside the left side of his head. “But we’re still not done talking about your slacking and pissing off on me! And mind you it going to be a long compensation.”
“Hmmm…. Yeah, whatever you say, Guardian.” Said Arc, who didn’t pay attention to Felax and started hovering ahead of him. “Anyway, come on, let’s pick up the paces, will ‘a.”
“Did you not hear……hrrrrr…. Wanker.” Said Felax starts walking to catch up to her. “I hope someone out there is going through more hell than I am.”

Nova was walking up to Shade’s offices, not knowing why she was summoned. All she knows from the message she got from Shade was to meet him there as soon as possible, and all details are top secret and very urgent.
“Dammit, I was just about to finished up for tonight. Errrr…. this better not be about Felax again or I swear to the Traveler I’m going to take him down.” Nova Mutters her way towards Shade’s offices with much stress on her from all the paperwork for the company and Felax’s piped of paperwork of all the trouble he made earlier today and last week. She stopped right in front of Shade’s office door to take a moment to calm down and take a robotic deep breath before knocking on the door. “Right, let’s get this over with.”
“Ahh…. Nova! Please come in.” Said Shade hearing Nova knocking.
“Did you need something sir.” Closing the door behind her.
“I wouldn’t call you here with an urgent message if it wasn’t. And again, you can call me by my name. Please sit down.”
Shade points to one of the chairs in front of his desk and quickly writes down a message on his computer while Nova makes herself comfortable.
“….Aaand send. By the Traveler, today has been a really been disaster day?” Said Shade as he stretches his arms and back a bit.
“Yeah, no thanks to that damn Aussies moron.” Mutter Nova looking through the windows at the Last City and the Traveler.
“What was that?”
“Nothing!” Nova looks back at Shade and gets to the point. “So what is it that you want me to do Sir- I mean Shade.”
“Hmm…. Very well.” Smirk Shade and he put his hands together and places them on his desk. “But before I begin, would you get your ghost out? This included her too.”
“Sorry, sir, but I asked Orb to sort out all the paperwork into the database that’s been done today. I catch her up about this meeting over.”
“Oh, well, joy good then.” Said Shade tapping his middle finger on the table, looking a bit uneased. “Hrrrr…. I’m afraid I have some bad news, and there is no easier way to say this, love, but pirates shot our previous weapon shipment down from the sky…. again”
“What!” Nova looks at Shade with disbelief at the news he just said. “Please tell me your joking?”
“Unfortunately, not.” Said Shade pulling out his tablet from under his desk and showing her pictures of the wreckage of the crash site. “The cargo ship got shot down only a few feet away from the city behind one of the Western mountains. But when guardians and the recuses team came twelve minutes later, they found nothing but an empty crashed ship with all the cargo stolen.”
“Basterds, this is the fourth time this month we lost this company’s sales. Was it the same group that took down the rest?”
“That is a possibility.” Sigh Shade puts his hands on the table. “We found no evidence or any remains of my companies selling around the savage area, excited for broken weapons and dropped ammunition all over the places.”
“But was there at least anything we can get an idea who or what we’re dealing with here, like any signs of clues or maybe a hint of the attacker’s methods?!”
“Unfortunately, no, whomever these raiders are, are jolly good job destroying my property and bloody taking away my buyers, who are getting upset about the fact their shipments are getting destroyed and forcing us to give their glimmer back.” Said Shade going under his desk and grabs a glass cup and a bottle of dark rum that says ‘Yor’s Ends’. “And it gets worsts. All my clients, business partners and the people from the Future War cult are starting to lose trust in the organisations, its only a matter of time now before they decide to stop funding this company, and when that happens this company is going to be fifty feet under the ocean before we’re f…… well you get the point.”
Nova pushed her robotic, on her robotic face and leaned back on the chair frustrated, like a bored tired school student and went silent, feeling tired from all the company work she puts into.
“God dam…. What in the Traveller do about this?”
“One-sec love.” As he pours his rum into his glass and takes a big sip from it afterwards. “Arrrr… I keep forgetting how good that stuff is, still wish that they didn’t name-”
“Shade!”
“Oh, sorry, love. There is a way….” As Shade slides his computer pad closer to him, opens a few apps on it and shows Nova an image of a big new facility that is almost finished its construction within the city, just near the great city walls, with heavy-looking defences around it. “Do you remember why we have my company’s facilities outside the city, not within it?”
“Of course, Sir….” Nodded Nova looking confused like he just asked her a silly question. “……. It’s because a long time when this Organization was first founded in the city by your grandfather. He crafted the best weapons in those times.”
“Jolly good, madam. My Grandfather believed that the weapons were too much of a feat to the city then, so he searched for safer locations to continue his development in weapons and new technology making. Ended up finding a hand full of untouched abandoned sciences centres, universities, military bases and even managed to find a small Warmind bunker that could satisfy this organisation.” He then takes a quick sip from his glass of rum and swells it around in his right hand, with his fingers on the tips of it. “For a time, they were secretly hidden safely and heavily protected from our enemies. Until one….”
“Pardon me for interrupting, but where do I go into this again?” Interrupted Nova intentionally stopped Shade’s story so she could get to work right away.
“Oh right, sorry dear, got carried away with my stories again…. ahem. Anyway, what you see on the pad is this company’s first facility within the city in a long time. Here we’ll be able to make our products quicker than we have in the past, equipment will be much better, and we’ll be able to maintain our shipments safely anywhere in or out around the perimeter of the city walls. However, this could affect some of our hidden climates outside the city reach and beyond, but that is another problem for another day.”
Shade stands up from his chair, grabs his cane from under his desk’s and slowly walks towards the windows, while Nova scrolls down through the screen, looking closer at the building structures while listening to Shade.
“The problem is that I’m behind dept to both my employee payment, the construction team and my business partner, who are partly funding my company. They said to me if I didn’t give them their payment soon, it’s….” Shade paused as he stopped by the window, looking down at his city for one second and looked down and rub smoothly around the quartz crystal orb on top of his cane, looking unhappy. “Anyway, I have a task for you to go to the facility up in Canada in the ices lands, to pick up and help a small team defend special cargo….”
“I do it.” Called out Nova with much confidence.
Shade looked back at Nova, surprised to accept this task all a sudden without explaining more details about the job is. “Oh? but I haven’t even fin-”
“Boss, I was once a Vanguard officer in the field, took down many Fallen glimmers runs in that time and stop dozens of Vex Conflexs. I’m pretty sure I can take on a simple job as this.” Said Nova taking this opportunity to get away from paperwork from this organisation and a few Guardians that this company brought in to help them report.
“Oh… Well, then that case I let Evan know that he be joining you first thing tomorrow morning.”
“I’m sorry. Who Evan?” Said Nova looked at him, raising her left eyebrow and a moment later, she realises what he meant. “Wait, you didn’t. Please don’t tell me…”
“…. That you will be officially working with a newly guardian to help you out and helping him out in return by giving him some for experiences. That sounds about right, madam!” Shade turns away from the window and looks back at Nova.
“Boss!” shouted Nova as she stood straight out of her chair and slammed her hands on his desk. “How often have I told you I don’t like working with other people on the field, psychically that I have to help out a new trigger-happy corpse, freshly out of the grave.”
“Hrrr…” Sign Shade drinking the last bit of rum, left his glass and looks back at Nova more s. “True, he wasn’t much of a choice since all the other guardians that work for me for help are off-world and strangely went MIA at the moment, but this join is to important to be done alone. I’m even putting too much of risks and a lot on the line to
“But Bo-…. Im means Shade. Having someone on my side also ends badly for them or slows me down. I can work better doing this job alone.”
“Felax thought the same thing for years, and you know how he ended up.”
“Felax is an idiot!” Shouted Nova feeling a bit angry, that Shade compared her with Felax. “He doesn’t think straight half the time and rushes into danger without a second thought on a job and even worse when he’s not. Not only that, but he’s also an inconsiderate, selfish bastard who gets people hurt, killed, or ruin their lives. Like that time, he destroys a pizza shop when….”
“Nova?” Shade kindly interrupted Nova, stopping her mumbling about her hatred for Felax.
“Sorry, Sir….I just-…” Paused Nova shutting down a little, clenching her hands as memories flashed before her eyes, about her scouting mission in some old ruins with her old Fireteam.
Shade nodded at Nova, he knew that she is feeling traumatised, began slowly walking up to Nova and placed his hand on her shoulder after putting down his glass on the table. “Nova? you don’t have to go through that horror alone. That’s why I’d brought you here and other guardians like you who are suffering some trauma, struggling to get by and other problems, In any way I can help, darling. But I can only help more if you tell me what’s wrong.”
“There is nothing to talk about what happened. Stop treating me like a teenager!” Nova Pushed Shade’s hand off her shoulder and crossed her arms, looking to her left side. “I Appreciate for what you doing to help me, but what happened that day is something that is very personal to me and a problem I need to face alone. Please understand that.”
“I understand.” Sigh Shade. “But at least work with this person until the job is done and when you do, you don’t have to work with him again. You must understand loved this job is very important than anything.”
“Hrrr…fine. But I want a raise and a holiday when this is all over. Also, I want Felax to do all my paperwork afterwards.”
“Ok, I get on that.” Smirk Shade a little from seeing her scene of humour and hands her his computer pad. “Well, I guess that’s all settled, you can leave now dear, unless you have any more questions you want to talk about.”
“ Thanks, but I think I had enough therapy for one night.” Said Nova as she takes the pad off Shade and made her way out of Shade’s offices.
“Don’t go to hard on the new kid.”
“Didn’t say how easy I could be” Mutter Nova, facing her left arm, with a thumbs up. While walking out.
